Tryout Info & Dates - Changes made with YOU the player in mind!
2012 Fever High School Tryouts are being held later in March this year than in the past.
Fever directors and coaches feel this break is invaluable to give young players minds and bodies an opportunity to rejuvenate after their high school season prior to beginning the club basketball season.
In addition since the majority of Fever coaches are high school basketball coaches this break will prove beneficial to them as coaches and for their families.
- Tryouts will consist of various drills and skills evaluations along with scrimmages. Scrimmages can be 1on1 to 5on5.
- Evaluations done at tryouts are both objective and subjective. Players are encouraged to attend all sessions.
- Many coaches evaluate the players and work together on deciding the teams
- Information Meeting for parents is held at the start of tryout sessions to review pricing and tournament schedules plus changes from previous Fever seasons. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the tryouts as well.
- Teams start practice after tryouts and play until mid-July 2012
- Tryout fee $30. Fee is for both tryout sessions and includes t-Shirt
- Online registration will be posted here by February 10th.

Teams will play in tournaments over various weekends starting in April until July, but not every weekend.
Fever does NOT practice or hold games during June to allow players to participate in basketball
activities with their repsective high schools.
The tournaments are located in the Northern Colorado/Denver area and many teams will travel out of state.

What to do before Tryouts?
- Be Ready for our Emails If you are NOT receiving emails from us, Sign up for Emails to receive the latest news on tryouts. Be sure to set your Email program to accept emails from RMYouthSports.com.
- Work on your basketball game! Whether or not you are on a team now, continue to practice your fundamental basketball skills OUTSIDE of organized team practices. During team practices little time can be spent focusing on individual fundamental basketball skills - so personal time in the gym is necessary! To stand out at tryouts, you need to be doing MORE basketball preparation than others!
- Learn more from the many resources on the left menu - FAQ, What to Look For (from any competitive sport team), and Testimonials.
- Talk to Fever parents and players. Check our previous teams (links on left) and see who played from your school and talk to them!
- Tell your friends! We appreciate your help in spreading the word.
- Come back to the website. We continue to update the website with information throughout the year. Also visit www.RMYouthSports.com to learn about other basketball activities, camps and clinics offered in Northern Colorado.
